Eli Luxenberg 120 North Baker 253-1250 Eli is a Junior Information Science major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Eli likes to explore all aspects of life and college has been no exception. As a transfer student he has seen other schools and appreciates Cornell and Alice Cook House for all the great things that each has to offer. Eli works in a group collaboration lab for Professor Jeremy Birnholtz.
Coming from Rockland County, New York, Eli has never lived more than a twenty minute drive from a state park. So, if you like to hike, or just want to go for a walk he is always up for it. Another favorite activity is Tuesday afternoon paddling with the Cornell Outdoors Club.
Bryce Robertson 303 Boldt Tower 253-2411 As a Senior and Government major in the College of Arts and Sciences, Bryce has come to appreciate both the amazing scope of opportunities and challenges that Cornell has offered him, but most of all he appreciates the people. The breadth of the Cornell community inspires him to make a difference anywhere he can. At Cornell Bryce is involved in student government and sits on the College of Arts and Sciences Educational Policy Committee, responsible for developing new classes and curricula, as well as finding new ways to assist students with academic life and taking advantage of all of the excellent opportunities Cornell has to offer. This past summer Bryce was given the honor of being a Congressional Intern on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for Virginia Congressman Eric Cantor.
As a Hanover, Virginia native, Bryce definitely understands the importance of good times, great fun, laughter, and keeping a sense of that good old southern hospitality at heart. He loves to take every chance he can to meet someone new and open up to a new, unique perspective. Bryce is thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome this year’s residents of, the one and only Alice Cook House and looks forward to an excellent year!
Michelle Sun 207 Alice Cook House 253-7138 Michelle is currently a junior and wavering a bit on her major still, but has a feeling she will end up as a physics major with a biology concentration. As you can tell, she can be extremely indecisive about certain things, but she likes to think it's only because she can't decide what things she likes most. She enjoys Cornell, especially her classes, but she knows her true home is in sunny California where there are imported palm trees but always authentic sunshine. She loves to paint, scrapbook, bake cakes, and eat yummy food. At Cornell, she is involved with the Cornell Daily Sun and Cornell Outdoor Education. This past summer she enjoyed doing research on developing a method of DNA amplification in a flexible pouch-based system for use in point-of-care devices and hopes to continue researching during the school year. She is really excited to get to know Alice Cook residents and hopes that they enjoy and get involved with the House system!
