House Assistant Dean

Each House in the West Campus House System is overseen by a House Professor-Dean, a tenured faculty member who is the leader of the House's intellectual program, and an Assistant Dean, a student affairs professional who directs the multiple functions of the House and shares responsibility with the House Professor-Dean for the realization of the House's educational mission.

Barnaby comes to Alice Cook House with a master's degree in College Student Personnel services and ten years of experience in higher education settings. Whether he was advising first-generation college students or creating an educational startup to help high school students transition to college and get jobs and internships, Barnaby's focus has always been to help students, regardless of their background, get the most from their college experience.

Barnaby's research interests are concentrated on student organizational styles, excellence in human performance, and finding the best ways to help students make meaningful connections within their university both academically and socially.

Outside of work, Barnaby enjoys hiking, traveling, drinking tea, and reading books in Cornell's A.D. White Library.
