Beulah is a 3rd year PhD student in Computational Biology and her research is centered around developing computational methods to analyze genetics. She uses programming languages (mainly R) to write algorithms and code simulations of phylogenetic trees. The point of tree creation is to estimate the probability of observing the data present and follow specific alleles backward in time. Speaking of time, Beulah hopes to spend much of her time traveling the world after earning her degree.
