Resident Language Fellow

Kay McIlhenny is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences. Though Kay has lived her whole life in New York, she grew up in a Japanese-American household. She hopes to not just introduce the Japanese language to the Language House community, but also its unique culture.

Kay is a Biology major on the pre-med track. When she’s not busy with school, Kay enjoys playing the violin, going to coffee shops, and spending time with friends and family. She is also a foodie – last summer on her trip to Japan, she took photos of almost every meal she had! Kay is also a member of the Milstein Program, Cornell Orchestras, and Cornell’s food magazine, Creme de Cornell. She looks forward to working with the Language House!
